The biggest women’s basketball championship in Africa, Afrobasket 2019 hosted in Dakar, Senegal approaches day three (3) of the tournament. Several teams will lock horns for a top spot in their individual groups and an opportunity to progress straight to the quarter-finals. Nigeria will face off Cameroon in their second game of the tournament at 16:30 Senegalese time August 13th, 2019.
The duel is a must-win match for D’Tigress and Cameroun, both teams will be motivated to come out strong for the top spot in group B which comprises of Nigeria, Tunisia and Cameroon. Tunisia has been deemed the weakest link in Group B as they were thrashed by Cameroun and D’Tigress respectively. The winner of this game Tops group B.
Nigeria in her previous match against Tunisia outmatched the North African side by 49 points as the final score ended (75) – (26). However, the Cameroonians showed they had guts as well and took the win with 42 points against the Tunisians, Final Score (95) – (53).
